Small Business Books

This is a list of business books that I have read and think are worth the time. All of them have contributed to my ideas for running a successful business.

Getting Things Done **This book gave me a new perspective on handling incoming "stuff". My email inbox is almost always empty now and it's allowed me to be more creative.		Web Copy That Sells **If you are stuck about what to put on your website, this book is a great resource. It covers what to write and how to write it. If you are not very creative, the book has great suggestions for creating content.

		Selling Sucks **Don't like to cold call? Who does? This book outlines easy to implement ideas to grow your business without cold calling. Utilize referrals and other business generation methods besides direct mail/phone calls.

		Meatball Sundae **The reason I'm doing Squidoo, Facebook, LinkedIn, my blog and other social "new media" outlets. Great read.

Small Is the New Big **Great for idea generation. Don't read it all at once though.	Wizard of Ads Trilogy **These books contain small chapters (easy to read) which will help inspire you with creativity. There are also several things you can take from the book and apply them right away to your web site and other marketing efforts.

The New Rules of Marketing and PR **How to use new online marketing tools such as social media, blogs, PR (Newsreleases) and more. Very practical. You can pick up this book and start implementing actual projects with specific actions.		The One-Year Business Turnaround **Read one of these chapters a week. Each chapter is a small project (with a few big ones) that can really make a difference in your business and your customers.

Good to Great **The ideas in this book are fabulous for any size business.		Made to Stick **The authors outline 5 key things for making messages "sticky". Easy to read with a lot of great ideas.
